About this Tree Name:- Chinese Quince (Pseudocydonia Oblonga) Origin:- Japan How big:- 85cm tall from the rim of the 46cm wide pot This tree makes a wonderful bonsai subject with many different levels of interest. One of the most striking characteristics is the mottled colouring of the bark. This happens each year when the tree sheds the old bark and leaves a patchwork of greens, browns, and yellows. The flowers produced by this tree are pink and star shaped, to be followed by egg shaped fruit in the Autumn. This is a hardy tree and remains outside right through the year.
